TIM ARNOLD
Drums, Keys, Accordion, Vocals

Seemed like only yesterday lil’ Timmy Arnold was just a spastic thirteen year old discovering a busted and mangled drum kit in the dumpster. Honing his cunning craftiness, he rigged it up with a roll of duct tape and jammed all the time in his basement… until getting the lights turned off by his sleep-deprived parents. But Tim never stopped banging on things; among his favorites to practice on are large dogs and in kitchens. Throughout schooling, he struggled so very hard to sit still except whilst playing in the symphonic band, orchestra, jazz band; and thanks to a few tips from his astronomically gifted opera singing sister, Tim excelled in choir and–oh yes–musical theatre. Some utterly radical bands followed: his middle school outfit Everything Yellow and the experimental improvisational band Polish Mafia. After “taking leave” from his first semester of college Tim reunited with longtime buddy Keith Goodwin and joined his band Days Away. Many a tour followed along with a record, Mapping An Invisible World put out by Fueled By Ramen Records. But the band dissolved when keyboardist Brian Gulla decided to go back to school. Tim and Keith, looking to strip down their sound to something simple and beautiful joined forces with hotshot singer/songwriter/guitarist for alt-country band Unlikely Cowboy–Daniel Eliezer Schwartz–forming a folk rock vocally driven band baby they called Good Old War. And now they tour and play and record with Sargent House and live the flipping dream. In his spare non-rocking moments to himself, Tim enjoys a nice cold beer and a comic book. He’s also a bit of a sparkplug.
